The Manager's Toolkit

The Managers Toolkit

Speed Training activities have the potential to dramatically improve the impact of leadership, the effectiveness of teams and the quality of work life for team members.

Speed Training activities

Speed Training activities offer incremental, bite sized chunks of learning and development. They are designed for busy managers who want to make an impact with team based, short, fun, easy to deliver activities.

This is a self-managed solution and we suggest team members take it in turns to facilitate the activities. The activities are grouped around seven key indicators of effective relationships, feeling valued, openness, feedback, motivation, difference, ownership and conflict.

Activities last approximately twenty minutes. You can run single activities as part of team meetings or group the activities for each theme to create a longer session lasting approximately one hour.

The programme provides opportunities for people to set goals. Recording both personal and team goals will provide evidence of progress  over time.

These activities are not more management information to be digested. They are transformational rather than informational. In other words the activity brings about the changes to mind-set and behaviours.

They provide a cost effective alternative to traditional classroom learning and development. It is a highly effective way to engage staff and get them taking ownership for their development. You are creating a self-managed learning and development system.
